Yeah, after 600+ days, “we’re doing everything we can” is obviously going to sound hollow to the person waiting. That said, if the funds are tied up in a compliance or legal review, support may genuinely not have the authority to release them. At this point, a clear explanation of what is blocking the case would matter more than another generic update.

The fake FBI email is the part that needs the most context. If it came from a spoofed address, Discord account or impersonator, that’s very different from proving a ChangeNOW employee sent it. Crypto support threads attract impersonators constantly, so the sender details and email headers really matter here.

I’ve used ChangeNOW for about 18 months and completed dozens of swaps without an issue, so a case dragging on this long is definitely outside what I’d expect. I’d want to know what specifically triggered the hold and what still needs to happen before the funds can be released.

I once had a transfer held for nearly two months after my deposit was flagged for AML review. Support asked for additional documents and proof of funds before it was finally released. It was frustrating, but I did get the crypto in the end. That’s why I’d want to know whether this case is still under compliance review or something else.
